not if they use a ball stick and replace the ball with a model of SF4 ryu's :O face

  6. Didn't Ono say that he wants to revive that series as well if SFIV is successful in the first EGM article that was released?

You might want to get that barf-bag ready, cowboy.

  7. If them's the terms, I don't think I'll have anything to worry about. Muffin.

  8. Touche.

Personally, I'd have preferred it if these guys just left the past in the past and quit trying to "reclaim" that which was lost.

What they should have done with this game from the beginning, regardless of their stylistic views, was make the theme something like "Old Generation vs New Generation" and cater to both the new and the old school. I think that a lot of people would have liked to see that and it would have attracted both fanboys and those who are clinging to the past.

Then, if they really wanted to hang on to this "past" shit, they could simply market it in the direction of SF2 characters, or dual market it for casuals and hardcores who stuck-with.

This direction that they're going right now is pretty strange, considering that Capcom has proven that they can successfully market a game on the platform of "Something new" with DMC4 in making Nero the new face of the game from the very start, and having the game ship 2 million in the first week, even thoug a lot of people expected Nero to be another "Raiden debacle."

I don't think that Street Fighter is about making the game super easy, or making the game a symbol of reminiscence, but rather about having a winner and a loser, and that's the end of it.

That said, I'm pretty sure the boss of this game is going to be Gouki and the story is going to center strongly around wrapping his shit up. Which also annoys me because I've been tired of Gouki sticking his dick into shit since X-Men:COTA.

  9. But Akuma has an air fireball, and says "SHOOOSH!"

I think any move they'd have made would have been easy to second-guess, they've just gone the route of making it VERY VERY easy. I have no idea if they think they're going to win back the Tekken/Virtua Fighter audience or whatever, but we'll see. Probably not?

I look forward to seeing the goofy facial expression technology used in a better game two years down the line. (which hopefully will be Super Street Fighter IV Turbo: Seriously Guys Really This Time)

This would have been awesome. I'm not even sure what the theme of SF4 is supposed to be, other than "SHIT YOU'VE ALREADY SEEN BEFORE! BUT IN 3D!" As much as I want to remain optimistic, Ono's not helping me out here by telling everyone who interviews him exactly what they want to hear. At first I thought he was just being receptive and open to criticism, but I'm not so sure. I'm having trouble seeing what the point is.
