I have no idea what point Dave is trying to make. That's more like returning your cable box when you cancel service than a rental.
Also: blockbuster doesnt charge you twice the cost of the video. They charge you the msrp.
And i see your point concerning walking into blockbuster and renting without a plan versus netflix which you can only use if you have a plan.
But renting is renting. Rent to own is a different type of animal. Its a predator of the weak and i would like to think there are enough ways to make money in America without swindling poor people out of the little money they have.
When i submit my bill to outlaw rent to own services, it will have a section for televangelists as well.

Prior to the purchase or on the sales contract, does Rent-A-Center disclose the total price of the product after all payments are made?
My chick says they were required to read the contract to the customer (which does disclose total amount the person will pay) but more often than not the customer would tell them not to read it, they didnt care. They just wanted that $2000 ps3.
Resistance: Fall of Man is just that irresistible.
How else are they going to play blurays on their $8000 32" hdtv?
