Just another part of the whole "Nader is unelectable for Any Office!" package!

McCain always compared Obama's politics to the socialism of Britain and Canada. If a voter doesn't understand what that means, that's not McCain's fault. I can't think of many politicians, other than John McCain, that would have had the class to refrain from using Reverend Wright.

he also refrained because it would have brought his own questionable associations in play. and republican 527s played the wright card for him.

He didnt just barely scratch by here in this election, he fucking cleaned house, so I think the odds were in his favor. Hell, I even had a (what I thought to be) racist grandad in West Virginia vote for him.
I mean, what would it take to say, "Alright,we definitely dont need this anymore."? For me, it was this election. If a black man can win the hearts and minds of the majority of the country to be elected as president then we've come full circle and grown a lot from past mistakes, and I think we're good.

If they are going to put in on the table, though, it's only fair to define it as they mean it and not leave it open to misinterpretation that appeals to the most base prejudices.

But then again, this is the Republican Party 2008, a party that has prominent people that make fun of community organizers and visiting your sick grandmother.

MAN do they have work to do. Yoshi, take action.

I wasn't talking about the odds in the election. And I wasn't talking about 'race relations' either in terms of the 'I think we're good' comment.

There is a class-war going on dude, and racial issues are just a cloak designed to covert that.

But now everytime he's giving a live speech, I worry there's some asshole racist with a gun pointed to his head. I was worried last night, too.

If McCain was worried about his own "associations" being brought into play he wouldn't have hammered the Ayers thing so hard. As for 527's, the same case could be made for Obama. Democratic 527's did some sleazy shit themselves. Politics is a bloodsport and the general election campaigns were no more rough or underhanded than any other. The standout sleazy campaign of this cycle was obviously Hillary's. I'm not sure why you guys don't want to agree on that.
