Liberals too far to the left get the "America's Parent" complex and want to censor everything, and conservatives too far to the right get the "America's Pastor" complex and want to censor everything. Fuck both of them on this issue. They both do more or less the same thing with a few different details (conservatives more obsessed with sex, liberals more obsessed with violence and political correctness).

This just isn't true. The mixing of religion with true conservatism is clouding this issue, but until you get all the way to fascism, conservatives are not for censorship.
