No justice in hockey. Isles outshoot the Pens 50 something to 20 and lose 4-2 and the Devils were outplayed by Carolina and still get a point out of it.

I'm intrigued by the Pen's pick-up of Hossa, although I can't imagine them signing him long-term when they have Crosby signed and Malkin soon to be.

With some concerns over defense and goaltending, it seems the Pens figured they'd go with offense ("**** it, I'm going deep" -Sexy Rexy) and force an opposing goalie to be hot for 4 out of 7 games in a playoff series. Again, I find it pretty interesting, and looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds. The Pens should have no trouble getting airtime in the playoffs, that's for sure.

2 players had their first goals ever, and not a single point for either Ovechkin or Semin. We also out shot them in every single period.

4th straight loss. 1 point away from Division lead, 4 from 9th place. Thank god Colorado beat Calgary...I guess. I feel sick.

More importantly was the missed high stick on Elias, where the Carolina player was immediately doubled over and bleeding, with about 4 minutes left in the game.

It was about the worst missed call I've seen all year.

Oh, and that game was bullshit, I hope Sutter realizes he can't play Brookbank anymore.


OH HAY, that guy Elias hit was Tuomo Ruutu! What a shitty day!

**Tuomo Ruutu, who the Hurricanes acquired earlier today from Chicago, needed 40-stitches to close the cut to his face that was apparently caused by the stick of Devils center Patrik Elias with 3:10 left in the third period. Elias might have clipped Ruutu with the blade of his stick when following through after firing the puck into the Carolina end. “I don’t know what happened,” Elias said. “I don’t know if I got him, so I don’t really know where it got him.”

Apparently the injury was on a follow-through, and that's why there was no penalty.

BTW this is two games in a row the Devs have played like garbage.

I was born here, so it was not a choice. But I am still here 24 years later, so yeah. The warm weather is very nice and all, but Florida specifically is a nightmare swamp land full of Creeps and Gators. It also has shitty sports franchises.

If by shitty you mean "horrible fan base" you're absolutely right. However, two world series championships in the last 15 years, and an NBA title two years ago sounds good to a number of fans elsewhere. You mean to tell me the Cubs wouldn't take that? The whole state of Philly who has been tormented by their sports teams for decades? Minnesota? Our fan bases suck down here, and if we're not winning we're in dead last, but shitty is a bit of a stretch. Wait, I'll give you the Dolphins, they're a fucking mess.

As far as living here, Miami is the shit if you're wealthy. Too bad I'm not. Family is the only thing keeping me here. I'd just as soon live in San Diego, or Maui if I could.
