Uniqlo's simplicity and ubiquitous nature is what makes it so good. While everyone else is trying to catch as much attention as possible, Uniqlo's founder Tadashi Yanai wanted to make clothes that not only look good but blends you in and keeps you grounded. I've bought sports coats, rain coats, pants, etc. from this store and it really works well when you're wearing a bright green dotted shirt or anything of the like.

I hate that the last time I was in NYC I didn't have time to stop at uniqlo. Definitely stopping in there next time.

I shop a lot at H&M but mostly for well-cut basics, so I imagine i would find a lot of good stuff there.

I went into Uniqlo the first time last month and bought a sweater and slippers. It's definitely not the last time I'll go.

Ironplant, there was an article on Uniqlo in a GQ from last year that talked about the philosophy of the store. The info is out there if you care.
