Upscaler for old consoles

Question for the class.

I've been reading up and searching on a few video upscalers for RCA/Svideo inputs. And all I've got to go by are random internet folks claiming some are good and others are ass.

Anyone here have any recommendations or suggestions.

I've never had to worry about it since the modbox will upscale the emu's.

so wait......if i were to plug my modbox into my shiny new monitor, i wouldnt need an XRGB to keep it from looking like ass?

btw mr b, i think the XRGB is your best bet. yoshi just got one recently and i know they're hard to come by.

Yeah, the emu's will scale to at least 1080i. Add in some filters if it's your cup of tea, or enjoy the pixels all blocky.

The XRGB does look like the best bet so far, but $300+ for an upscaler is a little pricey. I'm not so much worried about the 8/16bit as the modbox satisfies those needs easily.

Its more so, for Saturn/N64/Dreamcast. I gotta keep the n64 around for the AKi wrestlers as those still get mad play from my group of friends. DC isn't a big issue as I can get a VGA box for it.
