That's not her call to make, though. It's our office's call as to whether there is sufficient evidence to file. Her job is to investigate the case and follow up any evidence or lead. The print may not come up with a match, but if it did it could lead to the guy's house and he could have the stereo in his possession and/or confess to doing it. It's happened many times before in my experience.

It's a long story, but I have no documentation that asked for an oil change. I dropped my car off at a mechanic to get what I thought would be some routine work done. I asked for an oil change while I was there. After taking a look at it, they called me say they couldn't do anything and that I should take it to a body shop. I picked it up, paid nothing and got no receipt, and drove it to the body shop a few miles away. About halfway through, the oil light went on. Someone at the mechanic drained the oil for the change before they decided they couldn't do the repairs. The body shop confirmed that the tank was bone dry.

I should have turned right around as soon as the light came on, but I didn't. That was a big mistake.

For the second time in as many months I've gotten a paycheck with only one week's worth of hours on it instead of two. On top of that I didn't pick up my previous paycheck because I had some days off, so the secretary decided to mail it to me. It could've been a nice (if pointless) gesture if they knew what my address was, but since they didn't my paycheck was sent to my old place. Now I have to wait for them to send a stop on the check and issue me another one.

Got pulled over by some dickbag cop trying to make quota. He didn't even have a radar gun but claimed I was going 72in a 55. I also didn't have my license on me. 255 fucking dollars.

I'll probably go to court and contest the speed at least. I've literally never gotten pulled over by an actual driving cop, always these side of the road - point at you and ten other cars motherfuckers. It's such blatant citation fishing, drives me nuts.

I was pulled over and ticketed too, but for a burnt out front light. But if I bring a bill for the light to the plea date they'll throw it out (proving you got it fixed resolves the citation in the courts eyes).

I swear thats just a standard number they put out there for when handing out a ticket in a 55 mph speed zone. Last ticket i got, i tried to fight and while sitting in court 3 different people were called up to the judge. I shit you not, every single one of us were ticketed for 72 in a 55. What the fuck are the chances that four random people were all exceeding the limit by 17 mph when they got pulled over? I was positive i wasnt going that fast because 1) i was in the middle of a group of six or seven cars and we were all traveling at the same rate of speed and 2) i am on of those 10 mph over the limit max guys. I usually do no more than 7 mph over.
Of course the judge didnt want to hear it. So i got 4 points added to my license that I already had 2 points on which put me at the magical 6 point threshold. In NY if you get 6 points, you are hit with an additional $300 on top of whatever ticket costs and surcharges you are fined. It is such a bullshit racket.
