Four days ago I became FB friends with one of my old high school teachers. I really respected the guy and looked up to him.
Today he posted, "I am so glad for global warming [climate change]. The wind chill here is 25 below zero and just think, if we did not have global warming how cold it would really be?"

I'm not so binary that I feel like I can't like the guy anymore or anything so dull witted. But it certainly knocked him down a few pegs in my estimation.
