Thread: Official Freeware Thread: NFC

  1. PC Official Freeware Thread: NFC

I wanted to make a thread dedicated to finding and sharing freeware games. Even though I think most of us remember these first three, I'd like to start by recommending the following:

    N:

    Warning Forever:

    and more recently Cave Story:

Still, there's a lot of shit out there and I want to find out what I'm missing out on. So if you've played anything recently or have some favorites that are still available this is the place to share them.

  2. Cho Ren Sha 68k.

  3. Thread won in the second post. Cho Ren Sha 68k is so damn slick. Still,

    Blue Wish Resurrection

Ugly, but awesome. Plays very much like a Cave game.

    ABA Games

Everybody knows Kenta Cho's games. They're cool little experiments in mechanics worth checking out, and some of them are really solid.

    Blocksum

This is a really fucking good puzzle game. I know it looks bland, but please try it.

    Nethack

It's Nethack. It was released the same year that I was born, and it's still updated today. Really, really difficult if you've never messed with the genre before, but also a pretty cool experience. The only roguelike I've put a decent amount of time into.

I'd link more if I weren't sleeping soon.
