I've known a few people that had them, and my old roommate did a lot of work on this and biodiesel, so I picked up a few things. The car actually runs better than on diesel most of the time. You need to start and stop the car on diesel so the grease doesn't gum up the lines.

However, Hubb, there is actually an EPA or something regulation against you giving him grease, so you could get fined. I know this, because the last restaurant I worked at actually got a warning for giving my friend some.

He also shouldn't be getting grease from fast-food joints. Ideally, you want to get it from sushi places.

  3. there is a garage i drive by often in LA and i think all they do is convert and service cars running bio deisel.

I think its only because I might have to stop paying to have it picked up so often. I won't tell if you won't

  5. I told my wife last year the next car we buy will be diesel for this explicit purpose.

I have heard stories of the EPA cracking down on people running greasel. Tax is integrated into the price of fuel and they want their monies. I think it's great, though, that people are using it; I would just recommend being hush-hush about giving it out.

Daryl Hannah drove a badass Flat-black El Camino with the conversion done.

That just ratcheted up the hotness a bit. But she's selling it now.

  10. I just wonder if there are any long term effects on the car.
