So I kind of want Pokemon Conquest! It comes out tomorrow and I still can't believe it's getting an English release.

Any word on if they're at least keeping the Japanese historical stuff from Nobunaga or are they just going with vague, Japanese-ish themes?

It was really the characters and personalities that I was wondering about. The article doesn't seem to mention that. The location seems to be a vague, "Japan-land" kinda thing even in the original Japanese.

i.e. I'd prefer him named "Nobunaga" to "Giovanni-san" or something.

Nevermind. Official site says "Nobunaga" and even mentions the Nobunaga's Ambition series. I'm good.

Can you tell me how grindy it is when you try it, ep? It's piqued my interest a bit, too. I've just learned to hate the Pokegrind.

I will definitely buy Pokemon Conquest day one. It looks fabbo. I thought it would be out on Sunday and was a little bummed when my local Gamestop didn't have it

In other news, I bought a DS Lite yesterday, bringing my DS total to four (fat, Lite, XL, and 3DS). My GBA SP was crapping out and I needed a reliable way to play GBA games. What a beautiful screen! I can't believe I missed out on it for so long. My GBA games have never looked so pretty.

I'm holding off for impressions since I'm a little concerned that it's going to be far too easy. Nintendo does difficult strategy games but Pokemon branded stuff is usually super-easy.

In other news, I bought a DS Lite yesterday, bringing my DS total to four (fat, Lite, XL, and 3DS). My GBA SP was crapping out and I needed a reliable way to play GBA games. What a beautiful screen! I can't believe I missed out on it for so long. My GBA games have never looked so pretty.

I prefer the last version of the GBA SP that had the same screen type as the DS Lite because the buttons are mapped wrong on the DS for GBA games. It made stuff like Zero impossible for me to play.
