It's just a shame that this was the premier co-op experience I was hoping to play this year, and the demo for l4d trumped it, hard. The campaign is sweet, but only when there's no lag or bugs.
I dunno what it is, but playing Gears 1 the other week with Razor, I kept experiencing a few glitches I had never seen for the 2 years I had been playing with it. I have no idea what causes it, but you can play through the game and not have a single problem, and then other times it can be bugs galore.

I don't really like the driving stages in Gears 2. The level inside the giant worm was awesome though.
Question about Horde: If you play up to a level and then leave and resume later, does it count towards the achievement, or do you have to do all 20 or 50 stages in one sitting?
Yes, it does count. I'm not sure what happens when you join a horde game and then finish it though. I think you may personally have to beat each wave. Though you may be able to play the last 10 waves by joining and then go back and play through 1-40, but I am not sure about this.
Thats a shame. I absolutely loved co-op campaign. So much that right now it is my GOTY. Not to mention that horde does indeed kick ass. I wouldn't doubt that it even takes longer to actually beat, at least on hardcore, than the campaign would. It could take a couple of hours to just finish of 10 waves, and thats if you are on a roll. Team work is absolutely necessary. I think L4D will be an awesome co-op experience, but I think I will be playing Gears 2 far longer than I will L4D.

The driving stages were terrible. You'd think that they would learn from the backlash against the UV turret in the first game, but somehow they took it as a sign that they should put even more vehicle segments to "add variety."
The driving segment in the tank was kind of fun. Not 100% fun, but more like 60% fun. The flying sections though, garbage. Like I said to you manner, that shit was straight out of the Enter the Matrix game.
