I was kinda bummed at the total lack of Berzerkers. Those guys were fun to fight.

That reminded of the lack of the Hammer of Dawn throughout the game until the end. That was kind if disappointing. The mortar kind of makes up for it, though. That was a really fun weapon.

I think anyone who likes the first game's campaign over the second game's is completely crazy. This one just felt like it came together far better. It didn't seem like the same battle but slightly altered in a different environment (but still similar) over and over again. The variety of enemies, environments, and scenarios really blow away anything that we saw in the first game. Even with the horrible on rails shooting scene. The story ended in a slightly confusing (and abrupt) way, but the story was solid enough throughout to make you pay attention and add a little something to the game. But really, I was too busy fucking shit up with my shield + boltok to really care about the story.

Gears 2 all the way. I love both games, but Gears 2 just pushes things further while still maintaining the feel from the original. Sure there were some parts that could have been better, but all my expectations were met and far exceeded then I could have imagined. MP and Horde should keep me busy for the next 2-3 years. Can't wait to see what they do for Gears 3

Campaign was better in 1 IMO.

2 is ok, 2's online however is vastly superior

Also: Carmine. I was angry when he died. I ran through the belly and just started to kill that fucker. I liked the Greenhorn.

Yeah that one, first few times I didn't dare to enter it's mouth, and go toss a grenade when the middle part opens up, I was rather intimidated by that, I think on the 3rd/4th try or so I decided to enter it's mouth. That part reminded me of C'thun in WoW. Especially where you had to fight some mini tentacles

I was more affected by Carmine's death. He was this innocent rookie who just wanted to help wherever and whenever he could, and he did so very effectively. It was nice seeing Marcus mentoring and complimenting him every so often. I was hoping he would survive the whole way through, so when he died I was pretty upset.

Yo, father CARMINE, FATHER CARMINE /Rocky. Me and me mate, huge Rocky fans here and when he was introduced we dubbed him right away father Carmine from Rocky II. He was awesome and yeah have to agree with both of you, that I was also shattered by his death, especially the way he was killed after doing his best to proof his place in Delta squad, what an awful way to go :/ . Indeed now that you mentioned it, I found it pretty cool how Marcus rather than treating him as a green all the time, gave him compliments where it was due. Very cool from Marcus.

Carmine's model is always the one I play with in Horde mode, reminds me a bit of something from cyberpunkish world.

Heh! Sunday night before starting the 2nd lag to finish gears 2, I had the main theme from Terminator 2 playing in the background, it felt good knowing that I was about to fire Gears 2 up. Totally fitting the prepiration for Gears 2. Good times.

One part made me smile was when Cole grabbed the mic and started to rant at the queen, hilarious
