I think there was a thread on this already.
This is amazing.Remember that game Super Paper Mario that came out for that system the Wii? Yeah, you might have heard of it. And remember how it revolutionized platformers by offering levels that could be played in 2D and 3D? Yeah, it was pretty neat; I couldn’t agree with you more.
Well, forget everything about that game and feast your eyes on upcoming PC indie game Fez. Honestly, I don’t have any words for how freakin’ cool the above gameplay footage is. This gem in the making apparently exists somewhere here at GDC and I am determined to find it before the week is over. Operation: Play Fez begins!
While not much info is known about this Independent Games Festival finalist, Fez is obviously a platformer with a ridiculously cute (and adorably animated) main character. That is all well and good, but the minute I saw the game break the traditional 2D perspective and morph into this crazy 2D/3D ridiculously well-designed hybrid I almost fell of my chair and cried with happiness. Okay, fine, I did fall off my chair and cry with happiness. But it was all worth it.

I thought there might've been, but I did a manual search a few pages back and the search function doesn't do three-letter words so I came up empty. If anyone finds it I'll merge them but I hadn't seen the gameplay footage before.
it's here ....but it kinda goes off the topic of fez. i really wanna play it.
I won't be able to watch this until I get home but Crush (PSP) also has 2D/3D gameplay.
Video looks pretty dang cool. I think my only wish for it would be if you could also move when you're tumbling the camera around in 3D. It looks like you can only move when the camera is in an orthographic view.
"Orthographic"? Calm down.

This looks like Cave Story mapped on to a more interesting version of Super Paper Mario. Neato.
I don't think the game would work if you could move while tilting the camera. It seems to rely on using the set viewpoint to figure out where you are (like Crush). Otherwise it would just be a " Bug" throwback or something.
