I was able to catch parts 1 and 2 of this last night. It was fucking fantastic. I've never really been interested in that time period, or American history in general, but I was engaged for almost 3 hours straight from this. It's supposed to be a 7 part series that is around 10 hours long.

I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone.

You're seriously selling yourself short if you don't give this a chance. It's the type of topic that would normally put me to sleep too, but the way it's presented and the amount of effort they put into producing this mini series makes it accessible to nearly anyone.

I'm enjoying it. It's no Band of Brothers but it is way better than Rome. Will continue to watch.
