I honestly wish I had taken those votech classes in high school. I really think I would be a lot happier as a welder, or whatever, than as an occasional cubicle jockey.

Well it depends. That education decision could end up costing them 100k+ and no one is promising they come out in a good jobs market.
Asking anyone to start their adult lives over 100k in debt is asking a lot. That's a fucking house in most parts of the country.
