Not complaining doesn't make it right tho'. I'm sure there were a handful of slaves in 1825 that didn't complain about their lot. Your story makes it sound like you took a rough 50% pay cut. 50% pay cuts blow for any one at any time in any economy.

    anecdotal time!

I remember graduating in '93 and having a job. I also know that it took me about a month to find a job back in December. When I got it I was happy and found out that the place had 20 more positions. When the kids were told pay they declined. I went from a salary of 15 to a now paulty 8.25. I will say I am happy that I HAVE a job. I also am happy i can pay rent and buy food. Point being it took admitting I just need money no matter what the pay and accepting the job. Could I have posted in the What's bugging me thread and whining like "The Ghost of TNL" about low pay and not getting what I am really worth? Sure, but I didn't.
You can take pride in the fact that you are a worker but the fact remains that you are wasting years of your life making very little money. Your employers are exploiting a rough economic time by giving you a serfs wage, one that a human being cannot even survive on in most parts of the country.

You dumbasses should go print some t-shirts that just say "it's all luck" and sell them to your fellow worthless liberal "victims." Although that would require taking some initiative.

There's a huge shortage of math and science skills in this country, so job availability isn't the problem. It's a lack of useful candidates, and yet stupid asses keep taking out student loans to get degrees in sociology and "women's studies."

It's not all luck. But it is some luck. That's the disagreement.

Listening to Mitt Romney talk about how his dad gave him nothing, and he made it on his own is fucking ridiculous and anyone with a functioning brain understands that.

There's some luck in just about everything. People need to take some responsibility for the rest.

Sorry but from my POV your story is a fucking travesty. Id say its not your fault, but you keep voting for Republicans and against your own self interest. This is what they want.
It is a travesty, but where I work you can work up the ladder. I chose not too, because my future is NOT with this company.

I haven't made what I deserved to make in about six years.

I will say it was a hold over job, till I graduated from College. But thank god I got a job while in college. If I didn't I probably would have dropped out ....... again.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

Being born white puts you on first base. Being born white and in a first world country puts you on second base. Being born white, in a first world country, with rich parents? Third base, easily. If your dad happens to be a CEO or a Governor or both. You might as well be born one step from home plate.

Nice straw man you got there.

  9. Dude, if you're born white in a third world country, you better kill your parents and grandparents for fucking up generations of progress, then cut your own balls off for apparently carrying bad decision-making genes.

EDIT: Unless you're the Romneys, then just move back to America and take it over.

    So you're focused on 0.0000001%.
