Ideally, but I don't buy that it skews well enough towards the healthy. Especially since my ass eats salads and other healthy food every day.

Rebecca and I were both in the hospital last year to the tune of something like $70k.

I'm SO HAPPY we both had insurance or we would have been totally fucked.

I eat the healthiest of healthy foods. I still have to go to the hospital every now and again.

Wouldn't it be easier to have your mouth eat the salads?

  7. Apple stock tanking today after announcing.... record revenues and profits? Fundamentally this tanking doesn't make any sense, unless you think there will be a cataclysmic collapse in demand for Apple products, but there is zero evidence of that happening.

Wall Street seems to be expecting them to release a revolutionary device every year. Or maybe they are just waiting for the first revolutionary product from Tim Cook. Except I remember the last time Apple released an evolutionary product, they got killed on announcement. I guess people are expecting "Apple TV", but the TV business is terrible now.

Buying individual stocks is madness, unless you are rich enough to diversify.

Everything I've read says you really shouldn't bother unless you are rich enough to diversify and you don't need your money as you will be waiting to see any kind of worth while returns.

But this was just picked up from here and there. It might be wrong.

Theoretically, if you knew that all these people who dropped stocks were idiots, now would be the time to buy.

Buying stocks is all about being smarter/having more information than the other people doing so. At least if you want to make large gains.

  10. Based on efficient market theory, it is impossible to have more information than the other people.

I'm not some connected Wall Street hotshot so in reality, I have less information than other people.

The individual stock market is not for average Joes.
