  2. So does this actually make Vista any good?

    (Ok better)

  3. Did this coincide with SP3 for XP or will XP come out at another time?

SP3 is pretty much a security rollup anyway.

  5. Sounds like a step in the right direction, I'll stick with XP for now though. I figure 4 years or so I'll <3 Vista.

  6. I heard sp3 has a 10% performance boost too. Anyways thats what i have, so i want it to come out so people will start supporting it.

if you're running halfway current hardware i don't see how that would even be an issue. you could save like OMGONESECOND on boot time. XP is old. if you see improvement your parts are old.

  8. Agreed, XP runs damn well.

  9. Well I just un-installed my RC; though my desktop still says evaluation copy, and I'm downloading SP 1 right now.

I'm really happy this is out, not only from a user standpoint, but also from a retailer. It's hard to explain to people how to install an RC so their machine can be awesome, but it's easy for their computer to do this itself.
