Thread: TNL Across America: New York City 2008

  1. All of those ideas sound great Coury. I am all about Little Italy in general, with indoor bocce, oh my. Chinatown would be cool too.

I hope it wasn't my posts that put people off to this weekend. I was just trying to stir up some conversations and ideas that did not involve drinking.

Not at all. I think its important for us to do stuff as a group and have fun. People that want to drink can do so at most of these places I named, but it should be more about hanging out with cool people and laughing and talking.

I think your posts brought this to the forefront of peoples minds, because what everyone has been saying - its pointless to come all this way to just drink, and I dont blame them for not wanting to come if thats what its going to be. I'd not go if it was somewhere else, and thats what it was going to be.

  3. I was going to do my own thing and show peeps around. I was hoping Mezz would help me in that venture. That is if Animegirl, Thief, Pineapple, and a few more outsiders wanted too.

The only way we're all sitting down at a table is if we book a reservation in advance, which is a bitch when you people start dropping out, and plus we have to argue about where to go and how much we are spending and how it is being split.

This is why I suggested the beer garden. People can drink or not drink as they please and eat what they like. They even have portobello burgers for vegetarians. There will be plenty of room to walk around and mingle.

Yeah, i was thinking about that as well. And it makes total sense, they have food for everyone, and people that drink can drink and people that dont want to dont have to. Its a win/win situation.

  6. This has turned into a clusterfuck at the last minute. Shit, I'm thinking if I should make other plans instead of waste a weekend.

  7. There is still a month it's hardly last minute.

  8. No, it's starting to show some hope and here you are with more negativity, Ramon.

  9. He wants an excuse to drink. I see no reason for him not to just show up at night when we are drinking. And to those that don't want to drink. Fine. The places we go serve soda and water.

  10. I'm positive this is a clusterfuck, Scott.
