So I beat the game, and yes it unlocks a harder difficulty, but in most cases it proably won't be much harder. I'm bumping this from a 6 to a 7 because I was leery of something really score-killing later but there's nothing like that.

I am not going to encourage anyone to buy the game. Not that there's a problem with that; I'm not going to be one of those BUY THIS GAME guys when it's not warranted (see: mature third party games on Wii that are really garbage). What I will say is that it's worth playing at least to see if you enjoy it. It gets better later on.
