  1. Lupe Fiasco - Superstar (Remix) (Ft. Young Jeezy & T.I.)

I know what you're thinkin' Jeezy and T.I.?! Thats what I thought too, but now i can't stop listening to it. This joint is hot. srsly. The song starts with a clever verse from Jeezy its not bad but its forgettable honestly its the best jeezy verse I've heard in a while. Next Lupe spits the cockiest verse I've ever heard. Honestly it's really dope, cause you hardly ever get to hear Lupe be straight up cocky like that. Lastly T.I. killed the track with fast paced verse filled with O.G. swagger. Excellent song like i said i can't stop listening and I wanna get you guys' impressions. so....

    discuss.

  2. Jeezy sucked.

Was Lupe starting a beef with Timberland and Timberlake?

And I personally don't like TI, but that was okay.

    The original is better.

Jeezy wasn't that bad honestly, plus he gets props for shoutin' out The Wire.

    Lupe's verse:

    (Yea, one more time. C'mon.)
You on your fifteenth minute of fame.
And on the sixteenth, beginneth the lame.
And on seventeen, you lose everything.
    The twenty-first is the worst.
Wishing you was eleven popping like you was seven.
With the feeling when you were seconds (woo!).
Reminiscing when you was just in, now you just him.
No longer the trend they dress in.
Now you wondering where all the press went.
You know longer impress them, get arrested, paparazzi will press then.
I fell on purpose to stay a freshman.
I lose, but Lu' attend the school for X-Men.
So when I get my cap and gown and put the rapping down,
I'll only know half my powers but I spent half an hour.
Like a senior citizen having a baby shower.
Haters want to budget but my fans still love it.
So you can ask them exactly who I are.
Nine weeks, at number 1. I'm a Superstar.

You could really cut and paste any artist whos starting to get old in there...why did you think Timbaland?

If you look at the whole song/message the original beats this one...though not by alot. Lupe and T.I. killed it.

  5. lol can't believe I didn't catch that. I think he just using the name phrase though I wouldn't doubt it if he was calling him out cause then it would be the first subliminal diss Lupe put in one of his songs since The Cool came out. Cause if you ask me Hip Hop Saved my Life is a direct diss at MIMS but no one else seems to see it.

  6. That whole verse is like a diss to Timberland, cause when he first came out he was the shit and his beats were sought after. Now he's nothing more than another rapper with okay beats. His 15 minutes are up.

I thought he was dissing the entire south the first time I heard it:

"Dat's a track that's weak, that he got last week."

"Somethin', somethin', somethin', stack that cheese"

    Edit: I'm an idiot.

  8. Good find I guess that puts all my speculations to rest. And the lyric you quoting goes:

Thats a track thats weak that he got last week
cause everyone in the stu was like thats that heat,
A bass heavy medley with a sample from the 70's
and a screwed up hook that went stack that cheese

but yeah the more i read the lyrics the more it seems like a backhanded compliment maybe it's just me.
