Zelda II is the Zelda game that I keep finding myself drawn back to play and I get urges at random times.

Devil may Cry 2, easily one of the most disappointing games ever, dino crisis 2 is the white sheep in that series if that counts.
EDIT: forgot metal slug 4, which is just a fucking mess on all counts.

silent hill:the room. wasn't supposed to be a silent hill even, i dunno, i thought it kept the feel of the series at least.
These were the two that immediately came to mind. I didn't hate DMC2 as much as everyone else seemed to, but I wouldn't argue with that, it was indeed a huge disappointment. And yeah, Dino Crisis 2 is special in that it's an amazing game sandwiched by mediocre ones.
