Has anyone else noticed Soul Bubbles? It's a touch-screen action game that seems like a mix of Kururin, Loco Roco and Canvas Curse. I'm interested in it for a few reasons:
1) It was initially developed by Frederick Raynal, one of my favorite game designers. He left the team halfway through development to take a job at Ubi, but he's still been in touch with the team.
2) It's designed by Omar Cornut, who some of the retro-nuts here might know as the founder of smspower.org, emucamp.com, and author of the Meka emulator. He's a bright guy and it's good to see him heading up a project.
3) It's just got a very appealing look and style to it.
IGN did a pretty positive preview and there are some videos up. It comes out at the beginning of July and it looks worth keeping an eye on.

Raynal and Cornut are both awesome, and this seems to be one of the few games to benefit from touchscreen controls. Throw it on the pile of DS games to check out this year.
Wow that video looked really good. I'll be watching for this when it comes out.
Looks a lot like the bubble bits in Super Mario Galaxy fleshed out into a full game. Hopefully the videos shown are from an early level - it looks a little on the easy side.
yeah, they said it was the first level.
I like...
Shades of "The Irritating Stick".
This could be a game I get behind. But yeah, too easy and all that
TRU exclusive. Reviews have praised the ideas involved, just not relative to the length. *-neo
TRU exclusive? What the shit is that? Good to know why I couldn't find a pre-order.
I'm going to have a review of this up soon. Might even do a video review. Sneak preview: It's good
