Thread: Wii Remote Mouse?

  1. Wii Remote Mouse?

So the Wii Remote is a blue tooth device, and as such can be recognized by devices other than the Wii. With the right programs you can even use it as a mouse and such. So, has anyone bothered to do it?

http://www.wiili.org/index.php/GlovePIEGlovepie is one example of a program that lets you do it,
http://onakasuita.org/wii/index-e.html Wiinremote is another, the one I actually tried.
http://www.wiili.org/index.php/Main_PageSeems to be the homepage of Wii PC hookups.

So, as I mentioned, anyone else bother with this stuff?

  2. My friend is actually excited to try making software that uses the Wii Remote as an input device. He's going to try to make a rail shooter.

  3. Sweet. I got it to work, but for some reason it was always pulling to the right, so it was harder to move left than right. I think I had a setting wrong. As well, I'm not sure why, but it seemed as though my screen was just too damned small for a motion sensing remote to be used as a mouse. The slightest movement could send it all the way across the screen.

  4. There is this guy who goes by the name of "sound bites" and he performs music using the wiimote as a midi device. I'm kinda interested in using the wiimote and the wii verison of guitar hero as a midi device to perform. I think it'd be a cool idea and work well for live performance.
