I'd imagine having to open that door every time you need to insert a disc would be annoying after a while.
So instead of studying for my finals, I've spent the better part of the morning shopping for computer parts. Here's what I have now:
- SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-S203B - OEM
- Antec Sonata III 500 Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
- BFG Tech BFGE88512GTOCE GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
- G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - Retail
- GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
- Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80571E7200 - Retail
- Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit English 1pk for System Builders DSP OEI DVD - OEM
Any suggestions are welcome. I'm looking to shave a few bucks off of this to try and get it under $800 shipped. Also I think the case is pretty uggo.

I never use a disc that isn't the OS disc.

Yeah, the Antec P180 was actually my first pick but with power supply that adds quite a bit to the total price. Also not a fan of the door shit.
OK GUYS I PULLED THE TRIGGER
Wound up getting some OCZ 2GB RAM that was $22.99 after rebate, and got that XFX 8800GT that's on slickdeals for $125 after rebate. Total will be $755 AR. Not too bad imo.
wish i saw this earlier. im always against pack-in power supplies. it's the one part not to skimp on.
Yeah, I realize that. But is an 500W Antec Earthwatts really bad?
i don't trust anything "green" as far as psu's and hdd's are concerned. for all intents and purposes you should be fine but remember it's not the wattage, it's the rails that are important and since the 6800 days a rock solid psu has been more and more important regardless of overclocking or not.
