Internet browser speed way down but torrent speed is normal

For the past day or so I've been noticing a really slow connection whenever I'm using any internet browser. I just did a speed test and I'm only getting about 35 kB/s down but my upload rate is right where is should be at 45 kB/s. But if I'm DLing a torrent through my torrent program I'm getting my normal 800 kB/s DL speed.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

I suspect it has something to do with port usage.

I get the same thing, but that's probably more to do with the billions of virii plaguing my family's machine. They won't let me wipe it, so fuck them.

Somehow after playing Civ 4 for two and a half hours the problem seems to have fixed itself... hope it stays that way.
