I'm surprised to see this is down to like $10 on the used market.
Is the port really shitty or something?

It's a perfect port and the best game on DS by default.
The port is fine, but there wasn't much added to the game over previous releases. Also, it's been out for a while now, and Square actually produced a decent number of copies so it's still easy to find new.
If the thought of playing the game on a portable makes you happy, buy it.
All i know is that it could electrocute the player every time Chrono gets hit and it would still be better than Chrono Cross.
