  1. At 37 inches the difference between 720p and 1080p is going to be really hard to tell. Not that it can't be done, especially if Chux sat 2 inches from the set, but at that size the difference is going to be negligible. He might as well save a few hundred bucks and go with 720p. If he was getting like a 42 inch set or bigger then yeah definitely get 1080p.

  2. The sets are coming down so much I don't think the savings are worth it. I'd rather have 1080p for gaming/blu ray. It does depend what he's spending though.

  3. $800 was what I was looking at. I won't go below 37in as it's what I have now.

  4. The Sears set kills that tv, srsly. Wait a little longer for the rest of the black friday ads to come out. 37" is a weird size that no one pays attention too. You'll be able to get a 40" or 42" 1080p set for $800 and I'm guessing $600 for off brands (Westinghouse, etc).
