[ As usual, straight ports, retro compilations, and retro XBLA, Virtual Console, and PSN titles are ineligible. Exceptions can be made for ports if they have not otherwise been released domestically, and noteworthy remakes. ]

Notable (or not so notable) abscences: Soul Calibur XBLA (straight port), Order Up!, Spectral Force 3, MLB Power Pros 2008, Elefunk, Schizoid, Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2, We Love Golf!, uh.. Hail to the Chimp.

Actually a pretty good month, especially on the downloadable side.

I've been finding that lately, almost everything I've been playing has been digital, whether through PSN or XBLA. The next few months are looking to be stacked with high quality downloadable stuff, too. My vote will probably be going to either GeoWars 2 or PixelJunk Eden, after I give them more play. 1942 was fun, too, and I really liked the Siren demo, so I'll probably be picking that up soon.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  2. I played a lot of games I really liked this month.

FFIVDS Surprised me, when I started playing it I'd lose 4 hours at a time.
GeoWars is addicting and small sessions turn into huge timesinks.
I've been playing alot of SCIV too.

  3. Easy choice: Geometry Wars Evolved 2 is XBLA GOTY candidate. Although, I have read nothing but good things about Civ Rev

  4. I like Geometry Wars 2, but I like SC4 more.

    lol 1942.

Izuna and FF4 might be cool, but not that cool.

    I want to play Siren.

  5. ST.

  6. Voted SC, but I didn't get a chance to play FFIV yet

  7. The full version of Eden is out? I should check PSN more often.

  8. This is the hardest pick ever for GOTM. I played more Geometry Wars 2 when it came out than SC 4, so GW2 is it !

  9. #9
    Geometry Wars. It wins.

  10. Geometry Wars. Easy.

It will take something special to top it for XBLA GOTY.
