Find me one case where we had someone lip sync for someone else because they were better looking.

BTW it's not much worse here. In the US we find hot women with little singing talent and "digitally modify" (replace) their vocals, and write their "music" for them, so....basically, we're selling good looks just like the Chinese were.

It's just..the manner in which they did it, and I mean...they're little kids.

It's shady that it was the Olympics and a child, I guess, but the lip syncing and replacement is done in every country that has pop stars. It's old news. And every time a pop star gets caught lip syncing in the US the media get all upset about it for a week and makes fun of it. It doesn't outrage me like the media is playing it up to be some big betrayal. Should they have found a girl pretty and that can sing? Sure. But it's not a tragic scandal. I feel bad for the singer girl, but if she's described as being shy, I doubt she'd have gone out there to sing in front of the world even if she was cuter.

I love that the media cares more about this than the other problems going on in China, though. Uh oh, little girl lip syncing! Atrocious!
