Supposedly, he's now doing some online stuff in China. Now chances of Out Run or Shenmue going to 3 are looking slim. His last arcade game Psy-Phi never saw the light of day.

This is usual sensationalized Kotaku bullshit. Suzuki's last game for Sega (Sega RaceTV) came out a few months ago, and he hasn't been internal at Sega in years, but he still works exclusively with them, pretty much. Non-story, move along.
Given Sega's allergic attitude toward internal development, this can only help the chances of a Shenmue III.

I was going to say, didn't this happen like 6 years ago?hasn't been internal at Sega in years
Sega is a decent publisher, now. And they still make solid arcade games, even if not all of them make it home.
