    I miss Bullfrog.

Historically this is not what EA has done. They raped Origin and used it as a training camp for management, and forced them to release Ultima Online expansion packs every 6 months until the studio collapsed.

Shit, if you talk to the guys making Dead Space they were shocked that they actually got to make it. They were denied every opportunity to "do their own thing" and did nothing but licensed James Bond games for a decade.

So yeah, I'm calling bullshit on this. I'm glad it's changing, but there was a serious problem with the way EA managed the studios they bought out.

  3. all I'm saying is times change, people change, companies change. The EA of 5, 10, 15 years ago is not what it is today. Which by the looks of things is only a good thing.

Yeah, I don't know how people can say they didn't have some "evil empire" aspects after what they did to Origin, Bullfrog, Westwood, etc.. That's not to say that other companies haven't done similar shit but at least EA seems to be heading in a better direction now.
