Fuck you, that website is for WISCONSIN cheese, bitch. It better be from my great state.

  4. It's like when people try to tell me that prosciutto is better than Smithfield ham. Get the hell out of here, this is America.

  5. The most important thing about those burgers is the bread they chose. Don't fuck it up.

  6. I've always found Onion rolls a bit difficult to come across. I was going to pick it up on the way home today.

I also will probably have to make my own garlic mayo.

Not really cooking, but delicious anyway.

The other day, I opened a bottle of cheap red wine. How cheap? like $4. The liquor store got a pallet of it on clearance. It was okay; not offensive, but pretty young tasting. I had a glass, but forgot about the rest.

At work, a great idea popped into my head: Sangria. So, I bought a peach, a half casabala melon for 99 cents, and a carton of OJ. I mixed the wine to OJ about 3:1, and diced up half of the casabala, the peach, and a pluot I had in the fridge. I tried a preliminary glass, and oh god it is good. Tomorrow evening it is going to be heavenly. I may add some triple sec or vodka to add some punch to it.

Edit: And I love ciabatta rolls for sandwiches. Perfect crust and it doesn't get too soggy.

    I just made this sandwich:

    1/4 onion, sliced
Filet mignon (It was in the freezer for a few months), sliced into 1/2" slices
    Good bread, sliced
    Brie

I cooked the onions for a few minutes in butter, and added the sliced steak. I cooked the steak for about a minute per side. I layered it steak, cheese, onions, with a thin film of champagne mustard on the top slice. I put the whole sandwich in the hot pan for about 30 seconds per side just to toast the bread a little.

    Delicious.

  10. Brie makes everything better!

So I'm moving soon and I am trying to make dinners out of what food I have left and not go shopping. I have the stuff to make the old chicken n rice casserole with (gasp) cream of chicken soup and all that. I also have some porchini mushrooms I need to get rid of. Hopefully it will liven up the dish, we shall see.
