Damn I came back to this thread after not being here awhile and all I see are awesome pictures of rolls and Icarus being a dick. Gotta take the bad with the good I guess.

Also, I have been doing a lot of stuff with cubed and pan fried potatoes lately. I've added in mock sausage, egg and cheese to make scrambles. I've used these potatoes in starters to make the most bomb ass tacos ever. I've even mixed with in with pasta, which was remarkably good. I am getting board of this style though, so someone recommend something else that blends potatoes into a warm dish, but isn't just about the potatoes. Does that make sense?

I did some early christmas shopping and grabbed a Le Creuset dutch oven off ebay for my girlfriend yesterday.

Now I have to wait two months before we (I) can use it.

Next time you have a whole fresh fish, mix salt and egg whites in a mixer until it gets all meringuey then cover the fish in it. Bake it in a dish in a hot oven for half an hour. Crack the crust and eat it.

You'll never cook fish another way.

Generally I just toss fish (I usually just get whitefish or something cheap) in a pan with some lemon pepper and love it, but this sounds pretty awesome. Thanks for the idea!

Recently I've been keen on making my own French styled potato fries! I've been chopping the little buggers by hand. I want to buy a new machine to do it quicker. But, there are many fry cutters out there. Does anyone, icarus, have any they use the Hell out of and like?
