I know the site has a shitty name... but I really think you guys should check out Harvest Eating. I got some great ideas by watching the videos... mainly for sides, but for a a few entrees as well.
Good Eats is definitely my favorite cooking show. The other day I was watching and he had a great recipe for tenderloin steaks. Didn't feel like buying any tenderloins and pork chops were on sale at Costco. The tenderloin recipe was you crush fresh peppercorn, salt your steaks then place both sides in the pepper, pan fry both sides at 4 minutes a side, then you would use some Cognac to deglaze the pan, reduce it a bit then add some heavy cream and make a sauce. I replaced the tenderloins with pork loins and the cognac with apple juice and it came out delicious. Mind you I didn't eat the pork rare, I put the pork chops in the oven with the sauce for about 45 minutes.

I have no idea what I want to make for dinner, something that doesn't require too much time, but also something that would provide lunch for tomorrow. I read through the last few pages of the thread but I dunno nothing is jumping out at me (Ok AG's marinated thighs sound nice) so I'm thinking something Chicken. I hate coconut though so her thighs probably wouldn't fit my bill plus you know.. marinating them.
Any suggestions? (I'll admit it, I"m too indecisive when I am trying to figure out what I want to make)
I should get my super breakfast toaster on Friday.
You planning on smoking a lot of meat this spring break?
I'm gong to be a meat smoking master. I even ordered a book on smoking meat, and the various rubs that I can use.
You can rub my smoked meat anytime.
