Thread: How do I tell what kind of ram I have?

  1. How do I tell what kind of ram I have?

How do I tell what kind of ram I have? I need to invest in some more ram, but how to I tell what kind I have so I know what to buy?

Also is there a preferable brand over the others? And I have 2 gigs already but I want 4, should I just buy a set of 4 gigs or is it fine to be cheap and just get another 2?

  3. Tickling.

Or you could try punching in your computer's model number into Google. That may help.

That did help, though the Dell brand ram is like double the price of the stuff I saw on newegg. Is there a "good" brand of ram I could order off of newegg?
