Oil gets hot and that was awesome when it was cheap. My tank holds 300 gallons and starting from full would need to be refilled by the end of January. So we're talking $2400 per year or $200 a month year round. It fuckin sucks. I burn wood for free and use an electric space heater in the bathroom.
I think it also depends on the desired temperature... Keep things around 60 in the house, and keeping plenty of blankets around and clothes on should save you a decent amount.
Perhaps you'll be making a sellout face of your own sometime soon!
Did someone say oil? Let us consult the foremost expert in these united states and hear their words of wisdom about the flammable stuff.
"Oil of coal? Of course it.. it.. it's a fungible commodity and they don't flag ya know the molecules where... where it's going and where it's not, but in the... in the sense of the congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So I believe that what congress is going to do also is not to allow... the export bans to such a degree that it's Americans that get stuck holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here, it's got to flow into our domestic markets first."
Any questions?
None. It's all so clear now.
Who?
Boo, Hiss.
Has to be Palin.
You might be able to request the past heating bills on the house to get an idea if the cost. We did it here when we were looking.
