Thread: Tell Me About Your Local Arcade

  1. I live in what's considered a fashionable district in Tokyo so there aren't any game shops here and just 1 small arcade but it's pretty decent. They get all of the latest stuff on release.

Right now they have 2 SF4, 2 Tekken 6, 4 of the big pod Gundam game, 3 VF5R, 1 KOF98UM, 1 GGXXAC, 2 Fate Unlimited, 1 Arcana 2, 1 SF3 3S, 1 Sengoku Basara X, 1 Melty Blood Act whatever, 4 Gundam vs Gundam, Otomedius, Shooting Love, Macross/Macross Plus multi cab, PowerSmash 3, 2 Initial D 4 Kai, House of the Dead 4 DX, Winning Eleven with PS controllers, that Konami Mahjong Club crap and some other puzzle/mahjong stuff I never look at.....I really only play VF there.

Mainstreamers (ie everyday salarymen, couples) play it but the otaku type are all over the fighters and Gundam.

I worked there during high school and they had a much nicer selection of games back then. I have a feeling that the douchebag GM who came in and fired all of us making more than min wage is the reason it's gotten so awful.
I've been to MME. They pretty much have DDR, and then a crappy Chuck-E-Cheese.
