Bought this game for $5 when it was on sale on PSN. Finally cleared out the hd space to install it.

what a charming game. Just a couple hours in but didnt expect it to catch my attention so strongly.

I lost attention for it a few months back. The story is pretty boring. But it's so pretty! I'll probably go back to it early next year.

With the battle system, it's like "semi-action" because you can run around. Does it really make any difference for how battles play out? Like can you even avoid enemy attacks? I get that you can find HP and MP on the ground, which is more like a distraction.

Yes, you can definitely avoid enemy attacks. The last boss battle depends on it.
