I Want to Mod My PS2

Thunder Force VI and the Sega Ages collection beckon me, and I need my launch model PS2 modded. Anyone here do those? I know Pacrappa used to, but I don't know who the board's resident modder is now.

It is a shame Matt (that was his user name not MVS) isn't around any more. He modded mine and did an awesome job for a very very affordable price. For how much it would cost you to ship it to some one, have it modded and shipped back to PR, have you thought about just buying a pre-modded slim?

I thought about it, but my launch model is ol' reliable, and I really would rather keep using it. If there's no other option though, I'll go the slim route.

I can install Free McBoot for you if you're looking for a cheap route with no actual modification done. It's a memory card exploit and it'll let you play burns that have been patched with Memento or ESR software so all you need to do is rip the disc to your computer, patch the iso and burn. I'll also throw in the files for HDLoader and Swap Magic so there'll be other alternatives too if you wish as long as you get the necessary accessories to run them.

If you choose to go the Free McBoot route, you can either send me your memory card that you don't mind formatting (I need to wipe it out before I install it) and some cash to ship it back... or $20 shipped for me to buy a used memory card from Gamestop or something and send it to you.

This is the site of my friend who fixed and swapped out my 360. He just got done fixing and modding my friends Atari. He does just about everything, including modding ps2s (of which he has 3), Xboxs, NES, anything, and he does it quickly and very well.
