Who is the second? Cam Ward? Guys who have never seen the conference finals aren't proven.

edit: And Vokoun is better than most of the guys you listed.

Damn it. Gagne's back out there. Rolston needs to work on that shot if even that pussy can take it.

Guys who've finished in the top 3 Vezina in the past 3 years and that have beaten Brodeur in the playoffs are proven. I'll take Lundqvist and Brodeur over any other goalies in the East.

The officiating in the NHL is such a joke. Elias gets his stick broken by a slash right off the face off. It's not possible that both refs missed it, yet they don't make the call, because it's already a 5-on-3. So the Devils lose a player for 10 seconds or whatever it takes to get another stick. Way to penalize the team who didn't do anything, you fucking chimps.

I'll bet there is some other scrub who has been a Vezina finalist and beaten Brodeur once. I don't mean an active guy, but talk about a soft criterion for "proven".

  6. Right. Anybody who knows anything about hockey knows that Henrik is an elite goalie and is pretty much the only reason the Rangers are even smelling the playoffs right now. 38 out of 64 games they've scored two or less goals and they're still somehow in it. Henrik has given up one goal 6 times in the Rangers last 13 games and has won only TWO of those games. He gave up 2 in 3 of those 13 games and didn't win one. So, let's do the math there, gave up 2 or less goals in 9 of the last 13 games and won TWICE. Awesome.

Brodeur, through 2 periods, has faced ONE difficult scoring chance because of the team in front of him.

You've even said that Marty and Henrik are playing at the same level over the past few seasons, so what are you even talking about? You'd rather have Ward than Lundqvist?

The question wasn't who I'd pick; It was who is proven. The only answer is Brodeur. And I'd love to see where I said Lundqvist has ever played at the same level as Brodeur.

Lundqvist has never had to win a big game, because he's never played in one. He's never won an award of any kind. Maybe he'd be great in that situation, but we have no fucking idea.

Wow what a retarded play by Briere. He gets knocked down behind the play by Holik. The ref sees it, but Briere's dumb ass holds onto Holik's stick and goes for a ride, evening the penalties. Nice Captain. They were lucky his useless ass got hurt so Richards could take that role.

And another ridiculous non-call occurs during the 4-on-4. I wonder what the Flyers' record would be if they were called for more than half the penalties they commit.

The crowd is in rare form today. I don't think I've ever heard "Rangers suck but the Flyers swallow" so clearly on TV.

I'm not going to bother going and searching for it. It's not worth the effort.

Really? So that 2006 Olympic gold medal weren't in "big games"? Interesting. Brodeur, Luongo, and Turco all played for team Canada which didn't even get a medal. Did they think it wasn't "big" either? Curious that all three of them would go there to lose, being that it wasn't important or "big".

I won't get into all of the things he did in the Swedish league.

How about the only NHL goalie besides Hextall to win 30+ games his first three seasons? He'll be the only NHL goalie in history to win 30+ in his first four real soon.

If the Rangers can ever figure out how to get a Scott Stevens in front of him to win some hardware...
