Same. I swear, there were 16-bit games with better backgrounds and def with better sound.
The AOF team theme in particular was ATROCIOUS.
I liked 2K1. My group played it a lot on the PS2 and had a blast. This was before the other ones came out for PS2 and we got really in to 3rd Strike. I thought the art and music were horrible, but what I didn't know was that it was actually improved over the arcade version after I played it running on an emulator.![]()
So they removed K9999 and replaced him with a sprite-edit? Basically. Lame.

I see Geese.
You sir, are a hideous hermaphroditical character which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman.
Where is he? The 2nd one from the top right? I figure if he's there, it'll be Young Geese from Neowave and not the normal one. That left most picture is probably Kensou if they decide not to do EX characters so they can have one with and without the Dragon Spirit/Psychic powers. That'll make Takuma with fireballs in the middle and probably Robert in the top right in whatever form that's not included in the main roster since he had his fair share of changes in the NESTs saga. Plus the bosses are in there too.
Some people have been pointing out that the left most one may be Syo Kirishima, Kyo's original design and a striker in 2K. That would be awesome if that turns out to be true. I doubt it though.![]()
