Election Thread 2016

Honestly I just want to see campaign finance reform. That is the only pathway to creating a political environment where the people are actually represented again. We have the tools. We can limit donations and still fund successful campaigns.

If people could fund star citizen they can fund a policy maker they believe in.

Nobody feels like they can affect any real change. Everyone knows or believes the system is broken or full of shit. Nobody thinks they can make a difference. Starting with campaign finance reform we can start to change that line of thinking.

The thing that's going to get Hillary elected is the folks (our parents) who did well during the 90s under bill voting for her. Same as how people who did well under Ray Gun long to return to those years. Good 'brand name' for folks who are passively watching things unfold.

Sanders don't mean shit to anybody over 40, and in my eyes he's another Ron Paul situation --sounds great, probably a Really Bad Idea to actually follow through with.

The thing that makes Trump dangerous is that he's a 'brand name', and people are going to go out and vote for that TV show they liked instead of considering what putting him in charge actually means.

On the other hand, I'll throw in with Bernie if he survives the democratic debates. I wanna know he's not going to instantly implode under pressure like the Black Lives Matter incident.
