He might mean well, but damn is he absolutely terrible at this. I'm of the mind that none of this campaign rhetoric is particularly indicative of what we'll get once someone gets into office. But if we put that aside and, for the sake of making an argument and drawing comparisons take everything that the candidates have been saying at face value, then he would make an absolute catastrophe of a president. People on the left act like Trump is the most offensive thing to cross their lives and I'm not going to say that I disagree with them, at least not on all counts -- but the Trump trainwreck would be nothing compared to Kasich, Christie, or Fiorina. Even with his bumbling "penetrate their internets" speak and seeming disregard of the Bill of Rights, Trump has a way more accurate geopolitical picture and even "ban all Muslins and shut down the internet" seems more reasonable in context than the crap that those three were spewing.
Just my take though. And at the end of the day it's not the President who really steers this ship.
I've never been too fond of him as Governer here in Ohio. The tipping point for me hating him came when I saw the video of him being a prick during the only debate between him and 2 other candidates for Governor last year.
The original video was taken down but it's talked about here.
*edit: found a shitty quality video

OK so I was only judging him as the least conservative guy in a room full of jackals.

The fact that Trump apparently wasn't familiar with the term and didn't know how to properly answer the question did look pretty bad. On the other hand, I didn't find too much fault with the statement he did make in response.
There was plenty of crap said over the course of the debate, but in my opinion anyone that is going out of their way to try to pick a serious fight with Russia right now (or even just claim intent to do so, whether directly or indirectly) should not be allowed anywhere remotely near the most fleeting hope of presidency. Out of all the horrible stances to take, that strikes me as the single biggest red flag. Kasich, Christie, and Fiorina should be ushered out that door right beside Hillary Clinton.
He's going to make sure we have the best one of those, though.
