    Comfort has nothing to do with. It's the same reason cops have to allow the KKK to protest alongside their opponents. Blocking the entrance to a gathering place, such as a political rally, is unconstitutional. Where the government comes in is that they have to uphold that right.

    It's already starting to backfire in Seattle, which should have been a surprise to no one. My personal favorite anecdote is the "living-wage surcharge" for parking places by the airport.

    I guess? Employment dropped by, what, 1%? That's not a surprise, but I don't think that translates to failure any more than a $1/hour minimum wage and 100% employment translates to success.

    Unemployment is a worthless metric because of how it is defined. People are and will increasingly be underemployed and/or working less hours, without retirement plans, without health insurance, facing increasing prices, etc.

    I only brought it up because I assumed it was the measure by which you said Seattle was backfiring since it's the go-to metric for people who oppose MW increases usually. How (else) is it failing?
