I didn't say anything about the market crash or what caused it, but when the standards were reduced at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that certainly created a likely foreclosure rich environment.

There was certainly more than one transaction, but it's also possible that they bribed him to not do what he still did. The guy is a slimeball, so if it did go down that way, it shouldn't surprise anyone.
I frankly want to know how a government sponsored entity can make political contributions in the first place.
