Thread: TNL's GotM: October 2008

  1. I'm going to pass on voting this month. I won't have a chance to play any of those games until mid-December, and I'll be too busy playing other stuff by then.
    R.I.P. Paragon Studios

  2. Far too few people have played Far Cry 2. You really don't know what you're missing. Especially if you're assuming it's anything like any other Far Cry game.

I do need to play Dead Space and Fallout 3, though. I don't know if I'd be able to fully get into Fallout 3 if it has any traces of Oblivion, but Dead Space sounds excellent.

Order of Ecclesia is better than Symphony of the Night. Ketsui Death Label is great for what it is, but it's a very tiny original game built around handheld limitations that I can't see being worthwhile with Ketsui X on the way.

I hated Oblivion and couldn't play more than a few hours of it but I can't put Fallout down. It's really fucking good.

  4. Too many good games released these 2 months, but I still have no qualms about giving it to fallout 3. It has the potential to be my favorite game ever, depending on its longevity.

  5. If I played Fallout 3 that would probably be it. But since I havent, Dead Space is the game.

  6. No Red Alert 3 love?

I've still gotta play that and Dead Space before I vote.

This is good to hear because I've been really interested in Fallout 3 but I haven't jumped in yet because of my distaste for Oblivion.

I voted for it (Dead Space) Although Fallout 3 seems fantastic (not that far into it) and I can't seem to stop playing Saints Row 2. Good month.

  9. [yoshi] 13 people got it right, the rest of you failed [/yoshi]

  10. I had to vote Fallout 3, absolutely amazing game. While I really want to play Dead Space and the new Castlevania, I HIGHLY doubt they would sway my descision. Fallout 3 is the bees knees.
