I've been playing it a bit. It's an enjoyable, well designed game. I probably won't spend any money on it but I like it.

Also it doesn't even run particularly well on my Air. It's still slightly choppy at points.

I hate tower defense games. Even with Metal Slug sprites.

I'm not a fan of tower defense games either. But I did watch the movie, and this is clearly not a tower defense game.

Wayward Souls is pretty great. 5 bucks, no DLC or IAP, but with each update they plan to raise the price. It's a pretty, 16 Bit style roguelike RPG with permadeath and a leveling mechanic between runs.
